i is all grownded-up now

I made shepherds pie last night for the first time ever. It's such a grown up thing to make. 

It even tasted good.

My big sister even showed me mum's trick of smooshing the top with a fork to give it extra crispy bits (more effective if their gas oven ever browned things) thus making it a family secret handed down through the generations. kinda. sorta.
