I'm with you Wenchy. although my mum doesn't have one. that would be too much!
I'm actually holding out on buying one, partly because I'm not spending that sort of money at the moment, and partly because I know I'll be a terrible sucker and spend all my time fiddling with it.
it's bad enough that DV has the oh-so-pretty phone that I want as well.
can we lynch her? you get the iPod, I get the phone.
Just like computers, no matter when you buy one, there will always be a cheaper, better and shinier model out the next week.
My MP3 player (not iPod) has occasionally been vital to my work life over the last year, to block out the noise of salesmen talking around the desk. It's also been brilliant for long drives and the bus journeys when we were in Spain.
And my player has lots of Eurovision on it, so don't let anyone bag you out about your music choice.... (mind you, there is also Hunters and Collectors, TISM, System of a Down and They Might Be Giants.... - even my little 1 Gig player holds a lot!)
I bought one last week! (God Bless Hardly Normal and their 40 months interest free) It's lovely. It's green and holds more songs than I can possibly rip from my CD collection that I'm willing to listen to on the train. I completely understand the singing along thing and the dancing. It's an extreme act of will that stops me from singing out loud and shaking my groove thang. Who wouldn't with the 'Priscilla, Queen of the Desert' soundtrack reverberating in their eardrums?

Wow! You're so lucky! I want an iPod! My parents even got one before I have...what's with that?!
